What does undetected hardware mean?

Undetected hardware

GPU rigs

If your hardware is undetected it means that your mining rig didn't manage to send out data to the minerstat server about your hardware. This could be due to the node crash or you didn't start mining yet. If the status doesn't disappear after a few moments, please check:

  • If your hardware is on the list of our supported hardware (msOS supported hardware and Windows supported hardware). This message could appear for some older GPUs that aren't supported with our software or for brand new GPUs that don't have proper driver support yet.
  • If your worker is properly configured. Try to switch to Phoenix or TeamRedMiner and load default configuration to see if this is the case.
  • If you are using too intense overclocking settings. Try to remove the ClockTune profile and reboot the machine to see if this is the case.
  • If you have entered correct pools and wallets. Try to switch to Phoenix or TeamRedMiner and load default configuration to see if this is the case.
  • If you are using a mining client with the algorithm parameter and the parameter has the correct value. Try to switch to Phoenix or TeamRedMiner and load default configuration to see if this is the case.

Undetected hardware can also appear while you are benchmarking. If this is the case, you don't have to worry and can ignore this status until the benchmark is completed.

ASICs

If your hardware is undetected, then your ASICs aren't properly sending the hardware data to the minerstat dashboard. Try to do a factory reboot or double-check if your ASIC is on the list of supported hardware.
