How to set up TeamRedMiner?

TeamRedMiner is an optimized miner for AMD GPUs created by developers todxx and kerney666. TeamRedMiner can be used on both Linux mining OS and Windows mining software. The dev fees for using this miner are:

  • CryptonightV8: 2.5%
  • Lyra2REv3: 2.5%
  • Lyra2z: 3%
  • Phi2: 3%

To set up TeamRedMiner, follow the steps described in this guide. We will prepare an example to set up TeamRedMiner for mining VTC.

1. Address editor

Open address editor and save the pool and wallet for mining VTC. In this case, we will save VTC pool under (POOL:VTC) tag and VTC wallet under (WALLET:VTC) tag.

2. Default mining client

Open worker's config and select TEAMREDMINER as a default mining client.

Update the mining client's configuration so that it will be defined as:

--algo lyra2rev3 -o (POOL:VTC) -u (WALLET:VTC).(WORKER) -p x

(WORKER) tag will be automatically replaced with your worker's name, so you don't have to change it.

Please note that TeamRedMiner also uses parameter --algo in which you define the algorithm. If you choose the coin of any other algorithm, you need to replace the value of this parameter as well. Available --algo values are: cnv8, lyra2rev3, lyra2z, phi2, cnv8_rwz, cnv8_dbl, cnv8_half, cnr.

4. Save changes

Save changes and wait for mining client to restart. You are now mining VTC with TeamRedMiner.

Please note that if you are using Nvidia and select TEAMREDMINER as a default mining client, the configuration won't be saved as this miner works only on AMD GPUs.
