How to set up TeamRedMiner?

TeamRedMiner is an optimized miner for AMD GPUs created by developers todxx and kerney666. TeamRedMiner can be used on both Linux mining OS and Windows mining software. The dev fees for using this miner are varying from 2.5-3% depending on the algorithm.

If you want to use TeamRedMiner outside minerstat, you can download it through official sources:

How to set up TeamRedMiner with minerstat?

To set up TeamRedMiner with minerstat you don't need to download the software - just follow the steps described in this guide. We will prepare an example to set up TeamRedMiner for mining ETC.

1. Address editor

Open address editor and save the pool and wallet for mining ETC. In this case, we will save ETC pool under (POOL:ETC) tag and ETC wallet under (WALLET:ETC) tag.

2. Default mining client

Open worker's config and select TEAMREDMINER as a default mining client.

3. TEAMREDMINER config

Update the mining client's configuration so that it will be defined as:

--algo etchash -o (POOL:ETC) -u (WALLET:ETC).(WORKER) -p x --eth_dag_slowdown=9 --watchdog_script=/home/minerstat/minerstat-os/bin/reboot.sh --eth_no_ramp_up

(WORKER) tag will be automatically replaced with your worker's name, so you don't have to change it.

Please note that TeamRedMiner also uses parameter --algo in which you define the algorithm. If you choose the coin of any other algorithm, you need to replace the value of this parameter as well.

4. Troubleshooting

To start saving logs for TeamRedMiner, add the parameter --debug to your mining configuration.

5. Save changes

Save changes and wait for mining client to restart. You are now mining ETC with TeamRedMiner.

Please note that if you are using Nvidia and select TEAMREDMINER as a default mining client, the configuration won't be saved as this miner works only on AMD GPUs.
