Dual mining

Dual mining was quite popular in 2017 as you could mine Ethereum and a lot of different coins at the same time. Because the other - dual - coins are harder to mine these days, the popularity of dual mining has slowly decreased. Nevertheless, since some miners are still interested in dual mining and new coins were recently presented, dual mining is possible with minerstat as well.

Mining clients that support dual mining:

  • Claymore miner that allows you Ethash mining along with Decred, Siacoin, Lbry, Pascal, Blake (2s), and Keccak. Do note that you can't mine ETH with Claymore anymore.
  • PhoenixMiner that allows you Ethash mining along with Blake2s on AMD GPUs.
  • Gminer that allows you Ethash mining along with Blake (2s-Kadena) and TON.
  • NBminer that allows you Ethash mining along with HNS and CKB.
  • Bminer that allows you Ethash mining along with HNS and CKB.
  • T-Rex that allows you Ethash mining along with ERGO, RVN, CFX, and ALPH.
  • lolMiner that allows you Ethash mining along with TON and ALPH.
  • TeamRedMiner that allows you Ethash mining along with TON.
Note If you want to enable dual mining, you will need to change the config of the individual mining client. You can do this in the advanced config section.
