What is mining OS?

Mining OS is a Linux-based operating system dedicated for mining different cryptocurrency coins. It is common that mining OS is installed directly to USB flash drive or external hard drive for easier handling. Due to its low costs it is quickly replacing Windows mining.

For setting up a mining OS, you will need:

• Mining rig;
• USB 3.2 GEN2 or SSD/HDD - minimum size 8GB, suggested size 16GB (especially if you want to profit switch).

You can set up mining OS in five steps:

• Download image;
• Install Etcher for flashing the image;
• Flash the image to USB or SSD/HDD;
• Edit config.js file and enter your access key and worker's name;
• Wait for boot to finish.
