How to set up miniZ?

miniZ is fast Equihash-oriented miner for your Nvidia GPUs. Currently, it is available in our Linux mining OS, but the miner can be used for mining on Windows as well. The dev fee for mining with miniZ is 2% and it supports various algorithms:

  • Equihash(96,5)
  • Equihash(144,5)
  • Equihash(192,7)
  • Zhash

In this guide we will show you how to set up miniZ on minerstat for mining BTG. The same procedure can be used for other coins and multi-algo pools. You can find more information about miniZ miner on their official website.

1. Address editor

Open address editor and save the pool and wallet for mining BTG. In this case, we will save BTG pool under (POOL:BTG) tag and BTG wallet under (WALLET:BTG) tag.

2. Default mining client

Open worker's config and select MINIZ as a default mining client.

3. MINIZ config

Update the mining client's configuration so that it will be defined as:

--url (WALLET:BTG).(WORKER)@(POOL:BTG) --pass x --par 144,5 --pers auto

(WORKER) tag will be automatically replaced with your worker's name. miniZ is using --par parameter to define the algorithm you are mining. Possible values are: 96_5, 144_5, and 192_7. There are some other parameters available that you can find on miniZ website.

4. Save changes

Save changes and wait for mining client to restart. You are now mining BTG with miniZ.
