How to set up GMiner?

GMiner is high performance miner for AMD and Nvidia GPUs. Because not all algorithms are available with AMD, we have added two versions: GMINER for Nvidia and GMINER-AMD for AMD. GMINER is available in both Linux mining OS and Windows mining software.

Gminer supports various algorithms:

  • Cuckaroo29
  • Cuckatoo31
  • Cuckoo29
  • Cuckaroo29s
  • Equihash(96,5)
  • Equihash(144,5)
  • Equihash(150,5)
  • Equihash(192,7)
  • Equihash(210,9)

The dev fee for using GMiner is set at 2%. Some of the features that are offered by Gminer are wathcdog, failover pools, power efficiency, SSL stratum connection, UI launcher, and API.

In this guide we will show you how to set up GMiner on minerstat for mining BEAM. The same procedure can be used for other coins and multi-algo pools. You can find more information about GMiner, such as speeds, features, and requirements on its official Bitcointalk thread.

1. Address editor

Open address editor and save the pool and wallet for mining BEAM. In this case, we will save BEAM pool under (POOL:BEAM) tag and BEAM wallet under (WALLET:BEAM) tag.

2. Default mining client

Open worker's config and select GMINER as a default mining client.

3. GMINER config

Update the mining client's configuration so that it will be defined as:

--algo 150_5 --pers Beam-PoW --server (POOL:BEAM) --port (AUTO) --ssl 0 --user (WALLET:BEAM).(WORKER)

(WORKER) tag will be automatically replaced with your worker's name. Because GMiner is using --algo parameter, you also need to be sure that you have entered the right algorithm for the coin you are mining. Possible values are: 150_5, cuckaroo29, cuckoo29, 96_5, 144_5, 192_7, and 210_9.

4. Save changes

Save changes and wait for mining client to restart. You are now mining BEAM with GMiner. - A new hashrate proxy service by minerstat
