How to set up Mining Rig Rentals mining?

Mining Rig Rentals is a marketplace where you can add your rig for rental and sell its hashing power. Mining Rig Rentals supports more than 100 algorithms, and furthermore, you can monitor estimated rewards and backup pools on Mining Rig Rentals on your minerstat dashboard as well. Read this tutorial to learn more.

minerstat dashboard

To set up mining at Mining Rig Rentals on your minerstat dashboard follow the next steps.

Address editor

First, open address editor and add new tag (POOL:MRR) with the stratum addresses that is provided to you by your Mining Rig Rentals dashboard.

Next, save the tag (WALLET:MRR) with your Mining Rig Rentals' username. It is very important to note that when mining on Mining Rig Rentals you need to identify with username.workername where your username can be saved as (WALLET:MRR) in your address editor and instead of fixed workername, you can use (WORKER) tag - but make sure that your worker has the same name on Mining Rig Rentals and minerstat.

Worker's config

In the next step, navigate to your worker's config. Select the default mining client for mining the algorithm you are renting your rig for. You can find the list of all algorithms here along with the available mining clients. If, for example, you want to rent your rig for mining Ethash (DaggerHashimoto), you can use the following mining clients:

  • PHOENIX-ETH
  • ETHMINER

The default configs for selected mining client will be loaded. It is very important that you don't forget to set algorithm parmeter along with wallet and pool tags.

Phoenix ETH example

-worker (WORKER) -pool (POOL:MRR) -wal (WALLET:MRR).(WORKER) -pass x -proto (AUTO)

Ethminer example

-P stratum1+tcp://(WALLET:MRR).(WORKER)@(POOL:MRR) --report-hashrate

You can repeat the process for any other coin, algorithm, or mining client options, just make sure that:

  • You are using correct stratum addresses;
  • You are using correct ports;
  • You have chosen correct mining client for your set up (Windows/Linux and AMD/Nvidia);
  • You have checked if mining client requires algorithm parameter and you have correctly updated it.
