How to set up EWBF miner?

EWBF became known first for his Equihash miner which got support for different Equihash variants with time. The official name of the miner is EWBF Cuda Equihash Miner. EWBF for Zhash can be used on Nvidia GPUs on both Linux mining OS and Windows mining software. The dev fees for using this miner is set to 2% by default, but there is a fee parameter that can be used to change this value by setting the parameter --fee.

Outdated EWBF developer didn't update their mining client for a long time, so this mining client can have issues if you try to mine with it on newer cards and systems.

If you want to use EWBF outside minerstat, you can download it through official sources:

How to set up EWBF Zhash with minerstat?

To set up EWBF Zhash for mining BTCZ follow the steps described in this guide.

1. Address editor

Open address editor and save the the pool and the wallet for mining BTCZ. In this case, we will save BTCZ pool under (POOL:BTCZ) tag and BTCZ wallet under (WALLET:BTCZ) tag.

2. Default mining client

Open worker's config and select EWBF-ZHASH as a default mining client.

3. EWBF-ZHASH config

Update the mining client's configuration so that it will be defined as:

--algo zhash --pers auto --server (POOL:BTCZ) --port (AUTO) --user (WALLET:BTCZ).(WORKER) --pass x

(WORKER) tag will be automatically replaced with your worker's name, so you don't have to change it.

As you can see EWBF also uses parameter --algo in which you define the algorithm. If you choose the coin of any other algorithm, you need to replace the value of this parameter as well.

4. Save changes

Save changes and wait for mining client to restart. You are now mining BTCZ with EWBF Zhash miner.

Please note that if you are using AMD and select EWBF-ZHASH as a default mining client, the configuration won't be saved as this miner works only on Nvidia GPUs.
