Custom miners: How to set up EPIC miner?

In this article, we will show you how to import EPIC miner to the list of your custom mining clients. EPIC miner is not on the list of officially supported mining clients, even though we have added support for it and this tutorial, so the reporting can still have some bugs. If you find anything to improve on EPIC miner, please visit our Discord and let us know.

EPIC miner import

  1. Download JSON file you will need for import: EPIC miner Cuda or EPIC miner OpenCL
  2. Open Custom clients section.
  3. Click on [Add new client].
  4. Click on the import icon that you can find in the top right corner.
  5. Select downloaded .json file.
  6. Save your new custom mining client.

Edit config

After EPIC miner is imported, you will be able to select it as your default mining client in the worker's config. To set up custom pool, edit the configuration as followed:

stratum_server_addr = ""
stratum_server_login = "username.rig01"
stratum_server_password = "x"
device = 0
driver = 2
device = 1
driver = 2
device = 2
driver = 2

The above example is for 3 GPUs. The [[mining.gpu_config]] lines need to be entered for as many GPUs you have in the rig.

Or use your local network:

stratum_server_addr = ""

Minerstat supports more than 40 built-in mining clients for both mining OS and Windows mining software. Since there are still many other mining clients available, each user can add their own custom client to the msOS mining OS. If you want to learn more about how to add a custom client, please read our tutorial.
