How to dual mine ETH and HNS?

In this guide we will show you how to set up dual mining of Ethereum and Handshake on minerstat.

About dual mining In dual mining two coins are mined at the same time at different pools of your choosing. The coins don't have to be of same algorithm, but to be able to dual mine, your mining client needs to support dual mining.

First, open your address editor and save the following tags:

  • (POOL:HNS) with your HNS pool stratum and port;
  • (POOL:ETH) with your ETH pool stratum and port;
  • (WALLET:HNS) with your HNS wallet address;
  • (WALLET:ETH) with your ETH wallet.

Instead of ETH you can also also use any other Ethash coin, such as ETC.

NBMiner

To set up dual mining with NBMiner, you can use the following configuration:

-a hns_ethash -o (POOl:HNS) -u (WALLET:HNS).(WORKER) -do (POOL:ETH) -du (WALLET:ETH).(WORKER)

Bminer

To set up dual mining with Bminer, you can use the following configuration:

-uri ethash://(WALLET:ETH)@(POOL:ETH) -uri2 handshake://(WALLET:HNS)@(POOL:HNS) -dual-intensity 1 -dual-subsolver 0

Gminer

To set up dual mining with Gminer, you can use the following configuration:

--algo eth+hns --server (POOL:ETH) --user (WALLET:ETH) --dserver (POOL:HNS) --duser (WALLET:HNS)
It's easy to get started and it's free
